You can spend evenings talking to someone and still wonder whether you want the same future. Before paying a matchmaker, it is fair to ask what would actually change.
How much do matchmaking services cost?
Matchmaking fees vary by service. At Mélih, packages cost USD 150, USD 215 or USD 300 for different periods of guidance.
Other providers charge for reviews, individual introductions or bespoke memberships. Compare the scope and the total you could pay before choosing.

What counts as an introduction, and what happens afterwards?
DateSpot publishes a USD 49 Match Review, then USD 499 per introduction for Candidates or USD 899 for Clients.
Its optional Client strategy call costs USD 295. The review, call and introduction are separate fees.
LUMA publishes USD 20,000 to USD 250,000 or more for customised, full-service matchmaking. That scope differs from my guidance packages.

A higher fee does not explain the person’s role, your choices or what happens when a connection does not progress. Those details belong in the agreement.
What does a personal matchmaker do?
I read your questionnaire and speak with applicants by video before I suggest an introduction. I look at what you both want.
A photo can catch your eye. For a serious relationship with a Filipina, you also need to understand each other’s plans.
Talk about where you would live, family plans and day-to-day contact. Ask what a future together would look like.
Your private introduction explains why I see a possible fit. You can ask a question or decline.
I share the contact details you select only when both people choose to connect.
A personal interview gives us something more concrete to discuss. It does not guarantee somebody’s future behaviour.
What happens after you pay a matchmaker?
At Mélih, preapproval comes before payment, and your required video call comes before final admission. Private introductions start only after that admission.

Complete your questionnaire, create your account and verify your email.
- Read your agreement
If your application is preapproved, choose a package. Read what it includes and check your saved preferences.
- Pay and have your call
Confirm the agreement, pay, then book the required personal video call.
- Final admission
Matching starts after admission. If I refuse admission after the call, your package is refunded in full.
- Consider an introduction
Read, ask a question and choose whether to connect. The other person makes their own choice.
Know when your service clock starts. My packages begin at signature, including waiting periods and pauses. Read that before choosing the length of guidance.
If you live in different countries, talk about how you could meet. You arrange your own travel and immigration paperwork.
What should you ask before paying?
Know what you are paying for before you decide. Take these questions to any matchmaker you are thinking of using.
Tick a question once you have a clear answer. Save the list and bring any unanswered points to the conversation.

Keep a service fee separate from a personal request for money. The FTC advises against sending money or gifts to a romantic interest you have not met in person.

Each package provides one pending or active pairing at a time. A proposed introduction remains a choice for both people.
My first-connection refund protection has its own rules. Check when it applies and how pauses affect it. It does not promise a relationship.
